july 20th–is finding the walleye fishing on Lake Erie on fire with “eyes” being caught in 60-80 feet of water out of Barcelonia and Dunkirk Harbors–trolling stick baits in 30-50 feet are putting good numbers in the boat
July 18, 2010
Lake Erie Walleyes are still being picked up out of Barcelonia and Dunkirk Harbors in 65-90 feet trolling…Smallies are also being caught off Van Burean point in 30-40 feet on 3″ tubes keeping the bait on the bottom
July 26—Muskie trollers are still catching muskie in the northern basin — trolling crank bait-perch colored in 22-34 feet of water on the west side of Chautauqua Lake–
nite time caster are doing well on top water muskie pulgs on Cassadaga Lake
Muskie trollers are doing good bby trolling deep diving crank bait–firetiger and perch in 20-32 feet of water in the nothern basin from Victory Bar to the Belle Tower–speed 3.2-4.0
Fished with Craig for Muskies a few weeks ago. A friend came in from out of town. A quick phone call to Craig and we had arranged a 1/2 day trip on Chautauqua. The trip was 100% top notch. 3 Musky were “spotted.” One EXPLODED alongside the boat as I lifted the plug out of the water (after the figure 8….. of course). All in all, memories were made and an excellent morning was had by all.
